Latyfah is a full bodied, well-structured mare with straight legs, big round hooves, good muscling and plenty of substance. She is an easy keeper with no bad habits, no health issues (has never foundered, colicked or suffered injury) and is easy to manage. Though she is the alpha mare of the mare band, she is a kind leader.
Latyfah produced her first foal, a filly, at age 15 without assistance and is the perfect mother. Her pedigree reads like a who's who from the best of Egyptian bloodlines. Her sire, El Hadiyyah, was an *Ansata Ibn Halima son out of an *Ansata Ibna Halima granddaughter. Her dam was by one of my favorite sires of beauty and performance, Sar Ibn Moniet who's mother was a double *Rashad Ibn Nazeer granddaughter and who's father was the inbred *Ibn Moniet El Nefous being sired by *Morafic out of *Morafic's maternal granddam, Moniet El Nefous. Latyfah's maternal granddam, Nashwah, was sired by a *Morafic grandson, *Sakr, and out of a *Morafic daughter, Norra, who is a full sister to The Egyptian Prince who was the result of mating the full siblings in blood *Morafic and *Bint Mona. Typical of *Ansata Ibn Halima granddaughters, Latyfah has proven to be an excellent broodmare giving her filly excellent qualities and disposition. We look forward to what this mare and her daughter, Mouna Sabah, will produce in the future. |
