Bred by Montebello Farms and purchased in-utero by JEVA Farms LLC in 1998, Sabbataz JA was welcomed back in the fall of 2010 after being sold as a weanling in 1999, returned to JEVA Farms LLC in 2001, then sold again in 2001. Though he had returned with some injuries and mental scars from abusive halter training techniques, he has healed well, has learned to trust more and is a valued sire to our farm. He is a 1999 pure Egyptian grey stallion that is 15 hands of athletic ability and rusty under saddle. He has become a much loved member of the JEVA family and makes his affection for us known whenever being handled. He is a stallion that demonstrates love physically. Some of his strengths include a classic wedged shaped arabian head with a small muzzle, large eyes that are wide set, good length of neck that is hinged well at the poll and set back into well defined withers that tie deeply into an appropriate lengthed back and set atop nicely sloped shoulders. He has an uncompromised pedigree, overall good body balance, silky fine coat quality and a high level of intelligence. He is true to his excellence in breeding with the ability to pass on his genetics in good movement, overall good balance, arabian type and the qualities found in his dominant ancestors - all ingredients in making Sabbataz a premium stallion and excellent sire.

Sabbataz's sire, MB Mistaz was bred in the crotch of his pedigree to the great Alaa El Din once through his paternal granddam, Safinaz, who was sired by Alaa El Din and again through his dam, Imperial Mistilll, who's paternal granddam, Hanan, was also sired by Alaa El Din. Imperial Mistilll's dam, Ansata Nile Mist, was sired by the *Ansata Ibn Halima son, Ansata Ibn Sudan, and out of an *Ansata Ibn Halima daughter, Falima, who was a maternal granddaughter of *Bint Bint Sabbah via Fa-Habba (x *Fadl). It is important to note that Ansata Ibn Sudan was out of Ansata Bint Mabrouka (Nazeer x Mabrouka) who was a full sister to *Morafic (Nazeer x Mabrouka) and that Mabrouka (Sid Abouhom x Moniet El Nefous) was a full sister to Mouna (Sid Abouhom x Moniet El Nefous) thus *Bint Mona, dam of The Egyptian Prince, is a full sister in blood to both *Morafic and Ansata Bint Mabrouka. Sabbataz's dam, the incomparable Ansata Sabbara (one of my favorite mares of all times and one of the best moving mares I've ever seen), was sired by Prince Fa Moniet who was the son of The Egyptian Prince who was the result of breeding a full blood brother (*Morafic) to his full blood sister (*Bint Mona). Thus, Sabbataz was bred in the fold of his pedigree to the blood of Nazeer and Moniet El Nefous via Ansata Ibn Sudan, *Morafic and *Bint Mona. In addition to being bred to the best blood of the aforementioned his sire and dam also share *Ansata Ibn Halima in the 4th, 5th and 6th generations. Ansata Sabbara's pedigree reads like a who's who in Egyptian breeding being sired by Prince Fa Moniet, out of an Ansata Halim Shah daughter who is out of a Ruminaja Ali daughter, who is out of an Ansata Ibn Sudan daughter who is out of an *Ansata Ibn Halima daughter. It's no wonder he embodies the quality we appreciate so much and so far appears to have passed those on to his foals.

He is considered pure in the strain of Dahman Shahwan via the *Bint Bint Sabbah Branch of the El Dahma family of Ali Pasha Sherif from both his sire and dam. He had his first foal for us in 2012 out of Latyfah, a gorgeous filly, Mouna Sabah who looks like no others we've bred to this date and we are very excited to watch her mature.

Sabbataz is from the mare Ansata Sabbara who was sired by Prince Fa Moniet, a sire of U.S. National Champion Top Ten Futurity Colt and Egyptian Event Reserve World Champion Stallion, Ansata Iemhotep, as well as his full brother, Ansata Sinan who was exported to England. Prince Fa Moniet sired the classic mares G. Shafaria, Ansata White Nile and Ansata Blue Nile, to name a few. Australia recognized the ability of this fine stallion and imported him in late 1990. After a short time, Prince Fa Moniet expired. Prince Fa Moniet was sired by The Egyptian Prince, more well-known for siring broodmares and was himself unshown, but a progenitor of beauty to be found in many modern day pedigrees. Prince Fa Moniet was from the mare Fa Moniet, a National Champion Mare who was sired by *Ibn Moniet El Nefous, a U.S. National Champion Top Ten Stallion. Fa Moniet was from the Babson mare, Fada by *Fadl and out of the Fay El Dine daughter, Aaroufa, a National Champion in performance.

Ansata Sabbara was out of the Ansata Halim Shah daughter, Sundar Sabbahalim. Ansata Halim Shah is a sire of Champions throughout the World such as Salaa El Dine, El Thay Mansour, Ansata Hejazi, Ansata El Sharaf, and countless champion producing broodmares. Ansata Halim Shah was exported by H.H. Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Ruler of Qatar, Arabian Gulf, in early 1990 where he sired multiple National Champions before expiring. Ansata Halim Shah was sired by three time U.S. National Champion Top Ten Stallion, *Ansata Ibn Halima and out of the Ansata Shah Zaman daughter, Ansata Rosetta who was from the mare *Ansata Bint Bukra, a foundation import for the Ansata Stud. Sundar Sabbahalim was out of the Ruminaja Ali daughter, BKA Alisabbah. Ruminaja Ali was U.S. National Champion Futurity Stallion 1979, U.S. National and Canadian Champion Top Ten Stallion 1980 as well as sire to numerous Champion stallions throughout the World. BKA Alisabbah was out of Glorieta Sabdana and sired by U.S. National Champion Stallion, Ansata Ibn Sudan. Glorieta Sabdana was out of the *Ansata Ibn Halima daughter, Ansata Sabiha, a daughter of Sabrah who was a great grandaughter of the foundation mare line, *Bint Bint Sabah.

Ansata Sabbara was a classically beautiful mare with large dark soft eyes that danced off your soul. Her presence was royalty. Her tail flagged as she pounded out the trot with riveting action. She was intelligent and independent, yet demanding. She was always the first to greet with an ear piercing scream. But, this one would stand quietly for hours as she was groomed especially enjoying a soft massage around her ears when in foal. During those quiet moments, the bond she developed with her groom was the strongest bond. She has given us a lifetime of memories and left a valuable contribution to the breed. We were very fortunate to have had her on our small farm.

The sire side of Sabbataz's pedigree is chock full of champions and champion producers: He is sired by MB Mistaz, a United States National Top Ten Champion Stallion. MB Mistaz was sired by *Ibn Safinaz, a National Top Ten Stallion and performance champion. *Ibn Safinaz sired the 1992 United States Reserve National Champion Futurity Stallion, Muzac, and a 1995 United States National Top Ten Stallion, Imperial Saturn, as well as many other champions both in performance and halter classes. His get continue to accumulate championships to his credit. MB Mistaz's dam is Imperial Mistilll, who has produced champion after champion earning the title of Imperial Egyptian Stud's most famous broodmare. Imperial Mistilll was sired by *Jamilll a United States National Top Ten Champion Stallion, a competitive dressage mount in Germany and a son of the incomparable mare, Hanan, of Dr. Hans Nagel's Katherinenhof Stud. Hanan is the dam and grandam of some very well-known arabians and her influence spans the World. In her lifetime, she produced 11 foals, including the aforementioned *Jamilll. She is the dam of Asfour, of the famous Simeon Stud in Australia. Asfour is the sire of World Reserve Senior Champion Stallion, Simeon Sadik and Ibn Galal I, the sire of *Ibn Galal 1-7, a United States Top Ten National Champion Mare. Hanan is also the dam of Salaa El Dine the sire of the more recent import, *Shahir, who is also a multi-champion stallion. *Jamilll's sire is Madkour I the 1972 and 1982 National Champion Stallion of West Germany as well as a multi-National Champion producing sire. Imperial Mistilll's dam is Ansata Nile Mist who was sired by the first straight Egyptian United States National Champion Stallion, Ansata Ibn Sudan. Ansata Nile Mist was out of Falima who was sired by the very famous and multi-Champion National Top Ten Stallion, *Ansata Ibn Halima.
